if this is a 3.1 engine! THEN I WENT THRU THE SAME THING, first off, flush cooling system. on mine there was a gasket leak on drivers side intake manifold.the dex-cool coolant that gm uses eats up gaskets, i just replaced my own gaskets and flushed out system, it is running very well at this time, and the coolant is clear! they have a better gasket for replcement. go to any parts place and get a haynes manual for your car, it is based on a complete teardown of car, only about 20.00. you can change the gasket yourself by following the instructions.if you are inclined to do so!! GOOD-LUCK
Look on the side of the coolant overflow bottle. There should be a low mark for the coolant for a cool engine, and one for a hot engine.
allways add to the overflow bottle not the radiator it is usaly labled on the cap. PS its under the hood
It could be a couple of things. The coolant system could be over full. There could be a clog in the radiator. Or possibly the thermostat but not likely. also, the ford coolant tank is pressure sealed, if the cap to the tank has a defective seal, it WILL overflow when you stop your car, or whenever the pressure builds
That's a really good question Mine is doing that too. It's also overheating. Maybe we could collaborate for answers?
The 2004 Chevrolet Malibu coolant sensor float is located in the radiator. The coolant sensor float replace the level of coolant to the instrument panel.
it takes dex-cool coolant,
through the coolant tank!
