A camshaft position sensor reads the location of the camshaft and sends that information the engine computer. This is needed for fuel and ignition timing.
yes
That year did not have 1
in the distributor located on top rear of motor
2002 Chevrolet Tahoe has two oxygen sensors How do I check them ?
It is mounted on the passenger side/right side in the timing cover. one bolt holds it in place.
The cam shaft position sensor is located under the distributor cap. You can replace this easily by undoing the screws holding on the distributor cap, remove and replace the sensor, then just replace the distributor cap.
On a 5.3. at the top rear of the engine, behind the intake manifold. I is very difficult to get to without first removing the intake manifold.
its in the glove box
Wire diagram for 02sensor on 95 Chevrolet tahoe
That year did not have a Manifold Air Tempture sensor / MAT sensor, no need for it on the Throttle body injection system.
you have to remove the intake, and there are 2 knock sensors.
If you remove the distributor cap and rotor then you will see the cam sensor bolted on the distributor and it will have an electrical connector pluged into it.
