Stock HP on a stock LS2 is 400hp at the crank. With an average drivetrain parasitic loss of 15% this equates to roughly 340hp at the rear wheels --LS2 GTO Owner
To install an LS2 motor in a 2006 Pontiac GTO, you'll need to start by gathering the necessary tools and components, including the LS2 engine, compatible engine mounts, and wiring harness. Begin by removing the existing engine and transmission from the GTO, then install the LS2 engine using the new mounts. Ensure that you connect the wiring harness and any necessary components, such as the fuel system and exhaust. Finally, double-check all connections and fluids before starting the engine.

Ok... Really? Is that even a question? The Cobalt SS (turboed) has around 260hp, acceleration times were an average 5.8 from rest to 62 (100km/h) And the GTO, (LS2 + Superchager, also know as the Vauxhall Monaro) has 500+hp, acceleration times were impressive at 4.8 seconds from rest to 62 mph (100 km/h). Summary; The Cobalt SS is a full second slower than the GTO., which in car terms is alot.
i think the GTO has the LS2 6.2 That depends on what your idea of a Pontiac engine is. The "New" Pontiac GTO was available with the 6.0 engine. If you are talking about a traditional Pontiac engine, the largest factory offered engine is the 455 from 1970-1976.
Yes they are the same engines.
The LS3 was offered in the Chevrolet Corvette, Pontiac GTO, and Chevrolet SSR Roadster. It is the standard engine in the Pontiac G8 GT. The LS2 is one of the most adaptable engines as LS1, LS3, LS6, & L92 cylinder heads work well on it.
The V6 engine in a LS2 has a timing belt with replacement intervals at 100k miles
No. The LS2 is a street bike. Did anybody ever try trail riding one?
