The Geo Metro engine is a small, compact four-cylinder engine, typically ranging from 1.0 to 1.3 liters in displacement. It features a simple design with a single overhead camshaft and is known for its lightweight construction, which contributes to the vehicle's fuel efficiency. The engine bay is designed to accommodate this small engine, with basic components like the intake manifold, exhaust manifold, and accessory belts clearly visible. Overall, it emphasizes practicality and efficiency rather than performance or complexity.

If its from 85 then its NOT a geo metro engine. It is probably a Chevrolet Sprint engine because they only started making Geos in 88. If you need an engine for your 95 Geo then you could use one of the following: 1991 - 1995 Geo Metro engine. 1991 - 1995 Suzuki Swift Engine, and 1991 - 1995 Pontiac FireFly engine. Hope this helps :)
The geo metro was a version of the Suzuki Cultus that was produced from 1989-2001. The geo metro came with a 49 horsepower engine.
The Geo Metro was the only Geo to have a 3cylinder engine.
yes, if it's a 3 cylinder Mr Geo Metro yes, if it's a 3 cylinder Mr Geo Metro
No, the 3-cylinder Geo Metro engine is not an interference design engine. This means that in the event of a timing belt failure, the pistons and valves will not collide, preventing potential engine damage. This design characteristic makes the Geo Metro's engine more forgiving in terms of maintenance and timing belt replacement.
Yes, you can. I have done many engine swaps on Geos and 1989 geo metro engines are compatible all the way up to 1997. Just make sure if your geo is a stick shift, that the new engine you bought is also a stickshift or you'll have to do some serious work. Hope this helped.
Sure will. Any Metro motor from 1989-1997 will fit in it assuming that they are of equal size (ie) 3 cylinder 1.0L to 3 cylinder 1.0L. You can put a bigger engine like a 1.3L from a Swift in it but it requires a bit of tweaking.
Yes you can. All Geo Metro engines are compatible from 1989 - 1997. Just make sure that they both have the same transmission or you'll have to do a lengthy and expensive conversion.
I HAVE HAD A GEO METRO IN 1 FORM OR ANOTHER SINCE 1987. TO ANSWER THE QUESTION ON ENGINE COMPATIBILITY ANY METRO 3CYL ENGINE FROM 1989 -1997 WILL WORK. I PREFER 1993.5 UP DUE TO A MORE DURABLE TIMEING BELT
You shouldn't be able to overheat a Geo Metro unless there is something wrong.
Can you swap a 93 Geo metro manual transmition with a 95 Geo Metro
