Can rotating a flexplate damage it?

Yes, rotating a flexplate can potentially damage it, especially if it is done improperly or if the flexplate is already weakened or compromised. Excessive force, misalignment, or wear can lead to cracks or warping. Additionally, if the engine or transmission is not properly supported during the rotation, it may cause stress that could damage the flexplate. Always follow manufacturer guidelines when handling or rotating a flexplate.
