i have a 2004 Pontiac sunfire, my guages started acting crazy too. My speedometer didnt work at all, my rpm guage was way off, and my fuel guage always read something different. Usually when multiple guages go out at once, its your guage cluster. If that's what it is, that's a dealership only part.
Answer location of check gauges lightthe check gauges light is on your instrument panel when it comes on it lights up saying check gauges
I have a 1995 Pontiac Sunfire . The "check gages " light comes on when my gas tank is on empty. I dont know if this is a right answer but this is how I know I need to fill up at the gasbar .
I may be mistaken, but I don't think you can change the gauges. I think I recall seeing here, that you must replace the entire instrument cluster.
To check the gauges on a Pontiac Sunfire 2-door, first, ensure the ignition is in the "On" position without starting the engine. Observe the dashboard for the speedometer, fuel gauge, temperature gauge, and warning lights, which should illuminate briefly. Check that the fuel gauge reflects the actual fuel level and the temperature gauge shows a normal reading once the engine is running. If any gauges are malfunctioning or warning lights remain illuminated, further inspection may be needed.
You probably have a short in your abs system which has blown your fuse try pulling the fuse. This happened in my 2000 sunfire and I pulled the fuse and all the gauges work now.
Nothing as long as it is within normal operating range Gauges are just and indicator--not gospel
It is possible there is a short circuit on your brake light circuit which is pulling the voltage down causing the gauges to go haywire.
Sounds like to me that you have a bad electrical short somewhere.
There are certain car gauges which are mandatory to have in a dashboard. These gauges are the speedometer, the temperature gauge, the fuel gauge, the tachometer, oil pressure gauge, charging system gauge, and odometer.
The gauges as in the EQ sliders? They adjust the different frequencies for the sound, for example treble, bass, mid
u dont
A bad fuel pump can cause stalling. The oil pressure will show low oil on the lights or gauges but if the pressure is ok then the switch should not cause stalling.
