OBD II codes are basically the same for all vehicle manufacturers. I know this trouble code because it's been happening to me for weeks. And noone can figure out why. It's basically a trouble code that means there isn't a problem and the weird thing is that it should never show up to the user. It's supposed to be an internal scan that the computer gets sent that says "Everything is okay!"

Here is a cut and paste of the following from an OBDII code database.

P0000 No Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) Present

So what this means is it found no trouble codes and it sends that back to the computer basically as a "Okay we're done checking now" kind've communication between the sensors and the computer. This isn't ever supposed to pop on the Check Engine light.

However, on my 2005 Subaru impreza I'm getting a check engine light constantly with this code. Which is making no sense to me. Mine pops on when i am using cruise control and hit the breaks which disengages it. At that point it pops on.
