The 4x4 shift pattern on a 1982 Jeep CJ5 typically involves a manual transfer case lever that allows the driver to shift between two-wheel drive (2WD), four-wheel drive high (4H), and four-wheel drive low (4L). The exact configuration can vary, but generally, the shifter is moved into different positions: 2WD is usually in a forward position, 4H is shifted back, and 4L is further back, requiring the vehicle to be at a stop for the shift. Some models may also have a neutral position for towing. Always consult the owner's manual for specific instructions related to your vehicle.

If it is a 1/2 ton it will be the 350 turbo. The 3/4 tons used the 400 Turbo
I doubt very much that the knob will come off of the automatic column shifter.
82 Blazer 4x4 TransmissionI had an 85 quite a while ago and I'm thinking the transfer case bolted straight to the transmission? If the transmission is out of a 4WD I don't think there is a problem. Cannot give you an absolute guarantee. 82 Blazer 4x4 TransmissionI had an 85 quite a while ago and I'm thinking the transfer case bolted straight to the transmission? Bolt pattern for what? Nearly everything that has more than one bolt has a bolt pattern. Are you looking for the wheel bolt pattern? Or the torque pattern for say, the intake manifold bolts?

There are many combinations. The easiest is 82, 82, 82, 82, 82. The 2nd easiest is 80, 81, 82, 83, 84. You can create any list using: (82 - 2d), (82 - d), 82, (82 + d), (82 + 2d). Just use any number for d.
