Any 10w-30 or 5w-30 that's certified to the API level of your engine year. You don't need synthetic or anything fancy. I run Walmart super-tech in both of my Northstars - one has 100,000 miles on it, and the other is fast approaching 200K. ZERO engine problems. Change it when the Oil life indicator says to. Don't waste you money on any thing else.
what is a good engine oil to use in my car
yea they both have the northstar engine.
i would use some royal purple or mobile 1 10-30 to 20-50 depending
The Northstar engine is factory spec'ed for Dex-Cool or equivalent. Do not use standard "green" antifreeze.
If it is a 2 cycle engine then it is fine. If it is a 4 cycle engine then NO, do not use this oil. Always use the exact oil that is recommended by the manufacture.
no its not good
5w30 motor oil. For high miles car 10w30 is fine. Always use name brand oils, like castrol or penzoil. Never use cheap generic oils in Caddys NORTHSTAR engine.
That is not a good idea.
i use Castrol Semi synthetic oil, Which is good for the engine
No, I would not recommend using synthetic in an engine this old. Use a good 10w40 conventional oil.
For a 3.2L engine use a good quality 10W30 motor oil.
No you can not use gas engine oil in diesel engine oil because processing of diesel engine is different from gas engine oil. If you use this then it damage your vehicles.
