no its not good
It really needs to be checked out but it doesn't sound good. It probably is ruined as the rings and pistons are probably melted.
the engine is locked up. Not good. Very expensive.
Your serpentine belt probably ran all of your pulleys. Alternator, power-steering pump, ect... But the most important thing that it probably ran was the water pump that pushes water/coolant through the cooling system. Without that 50/50 water/coolant running though the radiator, your engine probably over heated and you blew a head gasket. Ouch..... You'll probably find that your engine refuses to start and you have water on your oil dipstick. I'm sorry, but if there where anyone I knew who doesn't know not to run an engine without the belt on, I wouldn't want them driving my car, let alone their own....
Since the starter is good but will not turn the engine over when hot, check the engine for free rotation. Turn the engine over by moving the crank by hand (with the ignition off.) The engine could be sticking when hot and not be able to turn over.
The engine needs to be flushed.the coolant ports have a build up of gunk causing the engine to run hotter. The heated water expands to much causing it to over flow from the reserve tank.
Engine Seized?
If the battery turns the engine over as it should then the battery is good.
Engine Seized?
too much tranny fluid or over heated engine or transmission
no all heated rear windows are electronic. in some older cars the battery is degraded and will not power the rear windows so well whilst the engine is not running, but once the engine is on and the alternator takes over there should be no change in how good the heated rear windows work
no it will not unless the engine was extremely over heated destroying the compression
It would be wise to do so if you are having overheating problems.
most likely sieze your engine need to get it unseized if the damage is not too bad
um when your engine blows smoke out the bonet cos its over heated.
# Change the oil. Overheat cause you to "smoke" your oil. Its still there but its not good any more. ## Coolant level ## Oil level ## Temp Sensor (runs fans) ## Fans and fan-relays ## Thermostat ## Water pump (although it commonly leaks badly when dead) # Find out why its over heating Check: # Repair problem.
Yes the reason for that is because the engine is over heated and when its cold the engine is nice and cold perfect for starting conditions.
Boiling Over heated Baked Roasted Dehydrated Good Looking :)
