elaborated verzion unelaborated verzion at bottom.....The proper procedure is as follows. 1. Raise the car and support it appropriatley. You will need enough room to get underneath the vehicle, but you will also need it low enough to remove engine and transmission. 2. Disconnect the Battery. 3. Remove the hood. (Done to prevent damage to the hood, Its really your choice, as its your ass. The engine will come out either way.) 4. Drain the fluids. This includes radiator fluid, Power Steering fluid, transmission fluid, and hydraulic clutch fluid. Discharging the AC is reccomended. However, you can remove the compressor and set it out of the way, if you choose not to do so. 5. Remove the front tires and disconnect the lower control arms from the struts, You will need to do this to remove the CV shafts from the transmission. 6. Remove the CV shafts from the engine, you may leave them attached to the wheelbearings, as long as they are out of the way. 7. Remove all hoses and electrical lines that are on the bottom half of the engine and transmission. Now would also be a good time to break loose the bolts on the trans and engine mounts. Do not fully remove them. Also, do not forget to remove the cables for the shifter, and the hydraulic clutch line. 8. Remove all electrical lines, cables, and hoses from the top side of the engine compartment. 9. Secure your cherry picker or engine hoist to the engine, and take a small amount of weight off the chassis. 10. Remove all the mounting bolts. 11. Remove the engine and transmission from the vehicle. 12. Drink a beer, you've earned it..................................................................................................

.............................................( now take it from me you don't need to pull the motor or the hood u simply drain trans. fluid then jack up and put jack stands under car not too high u still need to work on taking out the batery , air box , remove were clutch slath hooks to the trans remove all mounts not before using an engine hoist to hold up motor from the shock towers use chain rap around hoist to hold motor note there are more trans motor/mounts than on the actual motor mounts this step is required next pull the wheels off and remove lower shock mounts to easily remove axle s from hubs , pull axles out then proceed to un bolting the trans from the motor and mounts there are a couple then put jack under trans. and remove the lower cross member bolts from body mounts not from the trany. now take the upper nut off the top clutch push arm lower jack and roll out of car ........................................with the lower crossmember still attached..........
