The standard transmission that you seek is a warner medium duty or heavy duty transmission. However Ford made five different warner transmissions for the years of 61-65 which would work well with your motor. I own a 61 f100 292 and have learned a great deal myself, the standard transmission used the 292 is the same used by the six as well. look for a medium or heavy duty f100 warner transmission with the stamp on the side of the transmission WAR. There will be varying numbers after that stating the model which will identify it as HD or MD both are acceptable. Your trucks rear end is most likely like mine with a gear ratio of 3.75 or 3.3 both are very low for torque and will cost you a lot in gas. Good luck in your search, hope I may have been a little help. From a cowboy in Oklahoma
