429 V8 would be 18726543 The book I have show 63 - 66 Cadillac having the same firing order it is 1 8 7 2 6 5 4 3 With a clockwise turning rotor. The # 1 wire on the cap is the first post past the rear hold down screw in a clockwise direction. Hope this is a help Gary
