Typically, it means your brake pads have worn down to a critical level. In newer brake pads (like your own), there are "sensors" built into the pad so that, when the pad is on the verge of wearing out completely and thus causing sever brake damage, these tiny buttons run against the drum and make a truly awful shrieking sound. It's likely you haven't done irreparable damage to your brakes yet, but you're about to. Change the pads ASAP. [[User:Cjonb|Cjonb]] 20:53, 2 Jun 2008 (UTC)
Your brakes are probably getting low and they are rubbing against the rotor.
did u bleed the brakes as u tighten up the( pin ) bolt .
Your bicycle, or your hearing is defective
If you are driving and you hear a high pitch squeeling/screaching sound but when you apply the brakes the sound stops your brakes need replacing, this is called your brake squeeler.
There is no 'set' answer for this question. Be aware that there are built-in warning devices on the brakes. When the pads are low you will begin hear a screeching sound whenever you apply the brakes. When you start hearing that sound consistently - it is time.
The grinding sound means that the brake pads are worn down to metal and that sound you hear is metal to metal. you need to have the pads changed, the problem is that you will more than likely have to change the rotors also. The way to avoid this in the future is when you notice your brakes are making a squealing sound that means that the pads will need to be changed soon.
It's the brake calipers. Probably around $400 to replace in a shop.
The collision produced a horrible crashing sound.
If they get dirt in they can cause a scrubbing sound, but not very common. I would check all moving parts in that area carefully for something loose.
Get your brakes tested. I do not know what a ticking sound means.
This sounds like the power brake vacuum booster going bad.
Sonorous means full and impressive sound. An antonym for that would be like, a horrible sound or something. Sonorous means full and impressive sound. An antonym for that would be like, a horrible sound or something.
