I just did this on my 2002 V6 It took an afternoon, at an easy but steady pace. Make sure you have a special puller tool to help take off the Power Steering pulley. (Its bracket holds down 2 bolts for the water pump). Most auto part stores will let you rent them. You might as well replace the thermostat and upper and lower radiator hoses at this time too. Saves you the hassle of getting in there later and if the pump is going those are sure to follow.... well it took me 3 days with my 2000 soo...
