My experience with Ford fuel pumps is that they die around 120,000 miles. Let's see, I've changed fuel pumps on 92 Tempo at 120K, 91 Tempo at 125K, Ford Ranger at 110K and an Explorer at 130K. With the Rangers, I found it to be a little easier removing the bed of the truck other than dropping the tank. Just need three people to lift the bed off and put back on. I have an 02 Explorer with 93K on her, so I still have some time before i have to drop the tank. Hopes this helps.
