That question is entirely subjective. If we're counting fame by sales figures, that's a no-brainer. Since forever and then-some it's the Ford F-150. But that's not a car.

If we're talking about cars then it would be the made in the U.S. of A Toyota Camry. Trust me, I'm not tickled by this either.

I suppose when you bring up an American car, I'd like to think, thoughts of Corvettes, Mustangs and Dodge Chargers would come to mind. Unfortunately, like it or not it's those two reliable workaday humdrum, road-appliances.
