I have a 99 Deville and my car runs at about 190 to 200 degrees
193 to 210
203 to 210
Depending on the engine, the coolant temperature in a Cadillac could be from 180 to 195 degrees. The thermostat can be changed to give a lower or higher temp reading.
It has a 195 degree Fahrenheit thermostat so runs around 195 to 215.
The 1999 Cadillac normal coolant temperature gauge reading should be 180 degrees. A 195 degrees thermostat could be used, causing the temperature gauge to read 195.
Below 220 degrees .
Fill radiator to 1" from top-run engne to normal operating temperature and carefully check again
Coolant temp is about 196F. Mine runs cool on a highway, 2 notches below the red line on hot days in traffic.
A 1997 Cadillac Deville does not have an air filter for the interior cabin. If the air seems to not be as cool or thicker than normal, the evaporator core might need to be cleaned.
Are you loosing coolant? Is coolant getting mixed with oil or vice versa? Run engine to normal opeating temperature Remove dipstick and let a drop fall onto a hot engine part Oil will smoke coolant will sizzle Do a compression test 2 adjacient cylinders with low readings indicate a leaking head gasket
Drain radiatorRe-fill with a 50/50 mix of antifreeze and waterRE-fill slowly to prevent an air lockRun vehicle to normal operating temperature with heater on and recheck coolant level
