You can find the five digit numbers for the keypad on a 2006 Mercury Mountaineer in the owners manual. You can also call the dealership and ask for a the code or take the vehicle in for a new code to be programmed.
To program a key for a 2003 Mercury Mountaineer, you’ll need to have two working keys or a key code. If you have two working keys, insert the first key into the ignition, turn it to the "On" position for about 3 seconds, then turn it back to "Off" and remove it. Repeat this process with the second key, then insert the new key and turn it to the "On" position for 6 seconds. If you only have one key, you may need to use an OBD-II scanner or visit a dealership for programming.

I both a 2002 Tahoe with out a key pad I both one at Chevrolet place I don't no the code how do set it
first u need to know the original key code.. if u do not have it, u can go to a service center and they can put yer car on the computer and that wil tell them the factory code. once u have that then u will be able to change the code to anything u want..
You will need a flashlight to see it. If it's in the same place that it was on my truck... If you look in the trunk area where the jack is stored. On the left side, once you remove that cover, look towards the front of that compartment and you will see the five digit code.
we have a 97 and the code is in the on right side in the back. But we went the dealers and they did it for us and it was about 20.00 the key is higher so we had one made at walmart but it will not open the doors but it will start it.
