The timing for a 2002 Mercury Sable with a 3.0-liter engine is typically set at 10 degrees before top dead center (BTDC) at idle with the engine warmed up. It's important to use a timing light to ensure accurate adjustment. Always refer to the vehicle's service manual for the specific timing specifications and procedures, as they can vary based on the engine type and other factors.

02 sensor
Not sure which engine you have but I don't think the 02 Tahoe uses timing belts. I believe they use a timing chain instead and that should last the life time of the engine.
