factory calls for AUTO TRAK II "BLUE" FLUID ONLY BUT SHOP MANUEL SAYS CAN USE DEXTRON IV AS WELL. I RECOMEND THE AUTO TRAK II BUT ITS ONLY AVAILABLE FROM DEALER.

To replace the thermostat on a 2000 Oldsmobile Bravada, first ensure the engine is cool and disconnect the negative battery cable. Drain the coolant from the radiator, then remove the upper radiator hose connected to the thermostat housing. Unscrew the thermostat housing, replace the old thermostat with a new one (ensuring the rubber gasket is in place), reassemble the housing, reconnect the hose, and refill the coolant before reconnecting the battery. Finally, start the engine and check for leaks.
