iether type will work it is more of a personal preferance, all that really matters it that you use the right weight. i personaly sudgest a synthetic as it does seam to last longer
Gear oil...usually 75w90 weight. I would use Royal Purple or any synthetic gear oil. That goes for both differentials and the transfer case.
