On the oil pan, bottom of the engine. Crawl under the car and look, you will find it.

Remove the engine. Take the oil pan off and take every bolt out that you see. It will fall right out.

The EDIS-8 on a 92 Grand-Marquis is on the firewall just in front of the driver, under the hood's edge. A bad place for an expensive piece of electrinics as the thin circuits get rained on and damaged by rust. Andre Plamondon, martialartsword@live.ca

There should be a sticker on the underside of the trunk lid - that's where it was on my 92 grand marquis
I've had a similar problem with my 92 grand marquis. I had to change the mass air flow sensor and replace a broken vacuum line. after that my car ran better than it ever did.
If there is a PVC valve and hose and filter connected to the air intake, oil could be sucked up from the valve covers when the throttle is applied. perhaps the PVC valve needs to be changed.
