Best place to look for vehicle fluid specs. is at www.amsoil.com. Click on their "online application guide", follow through with your make-year-model. Of course they will recommend their product, which is excellent, but I have found that that year and range of Mazda 626's require "Dexron II". Use a "synthetic" version when possible and you will run cooler and your tranny will hold up better!
