I RECENTLY HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY 99 ALERO AND I THOUGHT MY TRANSMISSION WAS GOING OUT. LUCKY FOR ME ALL I NEEDED WAS A NEW SPEED SENSOR WHICH I PICKED UP AT MY LOCAL AUTO PARTS STORE FOR $16.00. WOW !!! THAT WAS A CHEAP AND EASY FIX. WHICH TOOK A CRAWL TO THE TRANNY AND A PHILIPS SCREW DRIVER... THANK YOU JESUS !!!!
