I had a problem similar to this a few years ago. It turned out to be two separate things. This vehicle actually had a sensor for the wiper washer tank. It was just barely low and kept tripping the sensor when she would turn it. I put more fluid in it and the problem was solved. The door ajar could be a bad ground or connection that door or the sensor could be bad. Open the door and manually play with the switch. Maybe it could be shimmed or something.
That is a VERY common problem for all those models. Mine does it all the time. The problem is in the rear door latches - the connectors are loose and not making good electrical connection. All I can say is replace them with new ones but that is alot of money for an annoyance at best.
you do not, they are cornering lights and turn on with the single lights
why don't any of my running lights work
Check the bulbs Check the flasher
It sounds as if there is a problem with the rear electronics module in the Ford Windstar. This controls the front and rear lights and it is located in the back in the cubby with the jack.
Not exactly sure on the Windstar, but recently had the same question for a Contour: try pulling on the lightswitch. Note: the fog lights on the Contour can only be turned on when the headlights are on.
This is simple. I call it American manufacturing. No attention to detail, carelessness and sleeping on the job.
To turn on the lights in a Ford Windstar, locate the headlight switch on the left side of the dashboard. Rotate the switch to the right to turn on the headlights, or pull it out for the fog lights if your model is equipped with them. Additionally, the switch has settings for parking lights and interior lights; make sure to adjust according to your needs. Always ensure that the vehicle is in the "On" position for the lights to function.
from what i know there are separate fuses for the left side lights and the right side lights so it might be a fuse
Buckle your seatbelt.
the alarm
The cornering lights are tied in with the turn signals - they'll come on automatically IF the turn signal is used.
