Start under the hood check your hard plastic vacume lines, it could be as small as a pin hole to throw it off, I had this problem with my 99 ram, so trace your vacume lines from start to end for holes, tape works fine to fix the problem!
A car with an automatic transmission shifts itself from 1st to 2nd to 3rd when you accelerate. You don't need to shift it...that's why they call it automatic.

Plate tectonic shifts are natural and there is nothing humans can do about it. If you would like you can pray to God in hopes that he can stop them from shifting, but as i said... they're natural and we cant do anything to stop them. I hope my answer helped you..
To adjust the cable tension on your rear derailleur for better shifting, turn the barrel adjuster on the derailleur or shifter to tighten or loosen the cable. Test the shifting after each small adjustment until it shifts smoothly and accurately between gears.
