I have a 01 Monte Carlo SS and my ground is under the backseat it was profesionally installed but it was pretty easy to do everything in the back just snaps off and snaps back in to place, but when you take the back seat out there is alot of metal and its easy to screw it to the frame of the car.
where are the ground wires located where are the ground wires located where are the ground wires located
unhook the battery, remove the cerpintine belt, remove the wires, remove the bad alternator, put on the new alternator, replace the wires starting w/ the negative one, replace the cerpintine belt, tighten the belt.
Ground wires, conductors, or circuits ARE NEVER FUSED. Fuses and circuit breakers are put in the wires and conductors supplying electrical current TO devices needing electrical power, and ARE NEVER PLACED IN the ground portion of the circuit between the electrical power consuming device, and the battery negative terminal.
Check the ground wires from the pump and sender. They often get loose or break and cause the pump and sender not to work. If you installed a new fuel assembly, find the 2 ground wires on the harness and make new grounds to the chassis. Hope this helps?
inside of the door of the Monte Carlo there are two tan wires, a larger one, a smaller one, a blue wire, and a black, try to get some shrink rubber for wires or electrical tape either one, I prefer the rubber all you need to do is put it on one end before tieing the two wires each together and then take a lighter and heat the rubber and it will shrink around the exposed wires. When you put the door trim back on the locks will work I recently worked on a 1992 Monte Carlo with the exact problem.
one to the batery one to the ignition posibly one to aldinator
Yes... Where all the spark plug wires go into the same spot.Yes... Where all the spark plug wires go into the same spot.
Replacing the starter on a 1999 Monte Carlo is fairly easy to do. The car will need to be jacked up to reach the starter. The wires will need to be disconnected from the starter before removing it. After the wires are removed, the starter can be taken down by removing the two bolts. After the starter is removed, replace it with a new one.
There are bolts that you must remove in order to take out the front seats of a 2002 Monte Carlo. There are two in the back of the seat and two in the front of the seat. If you have heated seats you will also have to remove the wires for that before you take the seat out.
One is under the dash on the drivers side. The other, (if there is another), will be in the engine bay on one of the strut towers. If you follow the battery positive wires its the one that goes to a box with writing on it and a whole bunch of wires coming out of it.
you need to use a battery charger or jumper pack to power the wires on the window motor.
Replace your plugs and wires. Just happened on mine at 118000
