drop the fuel tank. the pump is in the tank.
Fuel pump is located inside the gas tank. To access you must remove the gas tank or cut an access panel in the hump between the rear seat and trunk area.
you probably can if you want to.
You don't as that is far too dangerous. Drop the fuel tank to remove the pump.
it's not easy, you gotta cut the exhaust and drop the whole tank
The fuel pump is in the tank, you can disable it from the trunk. You face front, on your left side of the trunk, open the side carpet cover, you'll see the connector, disconnect it, so the power to the fuel pump is cut off, the pump is disabled.
If I remember correctly it's in the trunk.
On a 1997 Mercury Sable : The fuel pump shut off switch ( inertia switch ) is located on the passenger side of the trunk , behind the trunk liner ( there is an access hole )
On a 1999 Ford Taurus : Yes , the fuel pump shut off switch ( inertia switch ) is in the trunk , on the passenger side of the trunk , behind the trunk liner ( there is an access hole )
yes but you need to cut the wires to the stock one in the tank or cap them
check your trunk on the side you put in gas
Its inside the fuel tank. You can either drop the tank and pull it out or cut a hole through the back deck lid. That's what i would do.
You could but you also risk catching your Rivera on fire. Not a good idea to cut right above a fuel tank where there might be a leak.
