To add Power Steering fluid to an Oldsmobile Delta 88, locate the power steering fluid reservoir, which is typically found near the front of the engine compartment, often near the firewall or the driver’s side. The reservoir usually has a cap labeled for power steering fluid. Remove the cap, add the appropriate type of power steering fluid until it reaches the recommended level indicated on the reservoir, and then securely replace the cap. Always check the vehicle's owner manual for specific details and fluid specifications.
The powersteering reservoir has the filler tube molded on/in it.
There's a cap on the top of the power steering unit, remove it and put it in there, it might even have a little dip stick.
Fill the power steering reservoir until the dipstick in it reads full.
A 1982 Oldsmobile was built to use R12, it would need retrofitted to R134a..
Put trans. fluid in through the dipstick hole, be careful not to overfill
The Power steering pump is located underneath where you put the power steering fluid.
You add fluid at the same place you check it.
You put it down the tube that holds the trans dipstick.
NO NO NO!!!! OMG I hope you did not try that already. Break fluid and powersteering fluid have different properties for different pressures, they are not the same thing and if you put break fluid in your power steering system you will destroy your car.
How can I put 24s on 1981 delta 98
Down same tube that holds trans dipstick.
For a 1979 Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight, the transmission fluid capacity is typically around 11 to 12 quarts when performing a complete fluid change, including the torque converter. It's important to check the fluid level with the engine running and the transmission in park to ensure it's at the correct level. Always refer to the vehicle's owner manual for specific guidelines and recommendations.
