For a 1998 Lincoln Town Car, it is recommended to use Mercon V transmission fluid. This type of fluid is specifically designed for Ford and Lincoln vehicles of that era. Always check the owner's manual for specific recommendations and ensure that the fluid is at the correct level and condition for optimal transmission performance.
