On a 1997 Oldsmobile Achieva SL, the spark plugs are located on the engine, beneath the ignition coils. The thermostat on a 1995 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme SL is located in the engine compartment, specifically in the housing where the upper radiator hose connects to the engine. To access it, you'll need to remove the upper radiator hose and the thermostat housing, which is typically held in place by bolts. Once removed, you can replace the thermostat and gasket if necessary. Always ensure the engine is cool before attempting this maintenance task.
To replace the fuel line in a 1997 Oldsmobile Achieva SL, first ensure the vehicle is safely elevated and supported. Relieve the fuel system pressure by removing the fuel pump fuse and running the engine until it stalls. Disconnect the old fuel line using appropriate tools, and then install the new fuel line, ensuring all fittings are secure and leak-free. Finally, reconnect the fuel pump fuse, start the engine, and check for leaks.
A 1998 Oldsmobile Achieva can overheat due to several factors, including low coolant levels, a malfunctioning thermostat, a faulty water pump, or a clogged radiator. Additionally, leaks in the cooling system or a damaged head gasket can also contribute to overheating. Regular maintenance, such as checking coolant levels and inspecting the cooling system components, is essential to prevent overheating issues. If the problem persists, it may be necessary to consult a mechanic for a thorough diagnosis.

I am about to attempt this same procedure on my 97 also, according to the Haynes Manual, theres a screw on the parking brake handle that you have to remove, and one on the shifter also, after that its just a bunch of plastic fastners. once you remove the console and the floor panels, its supposedly just held in by 2 clips.
