Which engine is in this car?
On a 1994 Oldsmobile Achieva, the oil pressure sensor is typically located near the oil filter, on the engine block. It is usually positioned on the driver's side of the engine, towards the back. To access it, you may need to lift the vehicle or remove any components that obstruct your view. Always ensure the engine is cool and be cautious when working around oil and engine components.
Just changed one yesterday, It's located on the back of the engine next to the oil filter...
Oil PRESSURE is an indication of the condition of the engine's bearings. If the oil pressure is low, the engine is about ready to quit.
Based on the information, I assume it is the fuel filter you changed, that you have good spark and have done a fuel pressure check. I doubt that ALL the injectors would be clogged. I would think the fuel pump is faulty.
The same was happening with my 93 achieva s I changed the oil sending unit... with the stalling ie.. shutters then kills... then wont go back into gear till cools off ...changes the tranny oil and filter and it stopped for a while then when it started doing it again when it would shutter I would punch the gas and seen to correct what it was doing ,,,the achieva
If you mean that you changed oil , then RAN THE ENGINE with the old oil filter installed , then changed the oil filter , you just mixed the dirty oil in the old engine oil filter with the new oil that was just put in . So , not the best thing to do
The EGR valve, on your 1995 Oldsmobile 2.3 liter engine, is located on the side of the air filter housing. The valve should be labeled as such.
Hi'I also have a 1996 Millenia, just changed my out. At front of your engine 2.5 just over your oil filter, you have to unplugg the pressure switch wire befre you can get the socket on it.
The 1996 Oldsmobile Achieva typically requires about 4.5 quarts of oil when equipped with a 2.4L engine and approximately 5 quarts for the 3.1L V6 engine, including the oil filter. It's always best to check the owner's manual for the specific oil capacity for your vehicle's engine type to ensure accuracy.
Just start the engine.
The fuel filter is located under the vehicle, on the driver's side, just ahead of the rear wheel. It is an inline filter and can be changed with wrenches (no special tools). If the engine has been run recently, the line will be under pressure. Either release the pressure, or just loosen one of the connections slightly and catch the fuel in a pan.
