Remove the trim panel below the steering column. Take note of what you take off, you will need to replace it. 2. The cable is held to the speedometer with a quick disconnect. Reach up under the dash and push the release to disconnect the cable. The release is near the top of the cable. I would put a wire or string around the cable to guide the new cable in place. To remove the cable under the hood: 1. Pull the speedometer cable out thru the firewall. If you put a wire or string on it to guide the new cable in, take it off the old cable. 2. Take careful note of the routing of the old cable, follow the cable down to the transaxle and unscrew the fitting at the transaxle and take the cable out.
