Starting with the 2002 Ford Explorer ( 4 door ) the automatic transmission
does not have a dipstick
There isn't any! In 08 Toyota did away with the dipstick. Fluid is supposed to last for 100,000 miles and can only be changed by the dealer or transmission place.
It may not have one. For example, The 08 AWD Yaris has a closed transmission system. You will have to take it to a certified mechanic and have him check it for you.
In the transmission....... On '07's and '08's, Ford removed the dip stick in the engine compartment. There is a fill plug usually located on the front right side of the transmission. Under this plug is a short dipstick which is attached to the bottom of the plug.
no , but place for one just a cap on tube on back of engine, special tool used by dealer but you can buy on internet
There is no dipstick on this vehicle. It has a sealed transmission with an extended life synthetic fluid. The only way to check the proper fluid level is by monitoring the transmission fluid temperature from a scan tool and pulling out the special drain/fill plug that is on the bottom of the transmission pan. There is a tube that sticks up from the bottom of the pan the the plug goes into and allows any excess fluid to run out of the tube when filling this transmission. It is recommended that you have your local Toyota dealer check this for you.
