There are many variants of the 05 Mustang that have been manufactured. The most prominent variants are the Shelby Mustangs, such as the GT-H and the GT500KR.
on an 05 its located on the output drive of the transmission. you can see the plug if you look behind the right tire and follow the driveshaft to transmission.

If your explorer has a dipstick you use a funnel and put it in the dipstick hole but, I don't think the 05 has a dipstick. On the newer models it's pretty hard to do at home. There are two small plugs on the side of the transmission just above the pan. One is an overflow and one is a filler hole. You add fluid until it starts to drip out of the overflow.
