IF THIS A SMALL BLOCK LA V8 ENGINE, THE OPS IS PROBABLY LOCATED AT THE REAR OF THE BLOCK NEXT TO THE DISTRIBUTOR ASSM.

when my 1986 w-250 turn signal switch went out the brake lights quit working.
To change the ignition switch on a 1975 Dodge D100, first disconnect the negative battery terminal to ensure safety. Remove the steering column covers to access the ignition switch, then locate the ignition switch mounting screws and remove them. Disconnect the wiring harness from the old switch, replace it with the new ignition switch, and secure it with the screws. Finally, reassemble the steering column covers and reconnect the battery.
Facing the front of the truck, it is located on the intake manifold on the right side of the carb.
i have a 87 but i think they are the same. mine is located right below the steering column.
