Close to the thermostat housing.
if it is an 350 eng it is located at the rear of the intake manifold,on the top of the block, next to the dist.
The guage sending unit is a very small single wire sensor located next to the thermostat housing. follow the upper radiator hose down behind the air compressor to the intake. it'll be next to that.
If the oil level is OK, then either the oil pump or the oil sending unit is bad.
Bad oil sending unit, or bad oil pump. how many miles? if it's up around a 150,000 it could also be worn main and or rod and or cam bearings.
Climb up and lean over the top of the engine and look at the top right rear corner of the intake and you will see the oil sending unit. The cam sensor is tucked under the corner of the intake just alittle and it is beside the oil sending unit. It is hard to see but it's there.
