If you are refering to the vehicle speed sensor (VSS) it is on tranny by where the axles are
the speed sensor senses the speed and tells your transmission when to shift , it also controls your speedometer.
The speed control switch is on the steering wheel.
The input speed sensor is the two wire sensor on the front of the transmission case closest to the engine.
right on the trans they are plug ins one is a speed sensor
It measures the speed of the output gear of the transmission. It is used for shift timing.
This code indicates a problem with the vehicle speed sensor. Check the wiring and if it is good replace the vehicle speed sensor.
It is not adjustable. If the idle speed is not correct, then you have a sensor/actuator/computer issue.
You need to look on your transmission there should be 2 of them I have A 96 PLYMOUTH VOYAGER 3.0 liter and it has 2 on the transmission on it just match up ur sensors not very hard. sorry best i can do.
It is located in the passenger side axel housing for the CV joint, on the rear side of the engine compartment.
It measures the speed of the transmission input shaft. The transmission computer uses this info for shift timing.
I believe the 2.4L uses a three speed trans mission that does not have a computer.
The three speed does have a hydraulic governor in the transmission. The four speed does not.
