To remove the neutral safety switch from a 1997 Cadillac Seville, first disconnect the battery to ensure safety. Locate the switch on the transmission, which is typically mounted near the gear selector mechanism. Remove any electrical connectors and then unscrew the mounting bolts securing the switch. Finally, carefully pull the switch off the transmission and replace it with a new one if needed.
In a 1986 Cadillac Seville, the ignition switch is typically located on the steering column. To access it, you may need to remove the steering column cover. The switch is connected to the ignition lock cylinder, which is where you insert the key to start the vehicle. Always refer to the vehicle's service manual for specific instructions and safety precautions.
