i have a 1990 Cadillac Seville and my trunk has hydraulics on it. I just have to shut it until its almost closed and then it does the rest on its own. but you shouldn't have to slam it down or anything
If it does not pull down you need to replace the pull down switch.
check for the camshaft/crankshaft sensors... where is your camshaft/crankshaft sensors
If you are looking for a reset switch, GM vehicles do not have them. The fuel system is computer controlled with replays.
It does not have a fuel shut off, unlike some Ford built vehicles

every ones in a while your car will shut off or at some times its gona take awile to start . and i mean by that its that ur gona need to started like three times to start because it wont start every ones in a wile

Try replacing the ECM relay in the box under the hood.
i was having a problem with my alarm going off at the most inconvienent times so i took out the theft fuse in the trunk shut it right off and i pop it back in when i want.

most of the cadillac cateras had a shut off at 126 but with the shut off took off they will run well over 140
I have a 94 mustang and the switch is in the trunk, left side by the brake light. You can see it as soon as you open the trunk and look on the left side behind the brake lights. Maybe yours is located there too. Good luck..
