In a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer, the 4WD fuse is located in the underhood fuse box. To access it, open the hood and find the fuse box near the battery. The specific fuse for the 4WD system is typically labeled as "4WD" or "Transfer Case." Always consult the owner's manual for the exact location and specifications.

Depending on the year and make , the 4wd fuse is located were all your fuses are,
it is located on the side of the dash board on the drivers side
All the newer Trailblazers like your 2005 take 7 quarts. That is with a new oil filter.
If your Trailblazer is a 4x4 the switch should be to the left of the radio on the dash.
The dashboard switch to the lower right side of the stearing column. If it's not there then you do not have 4WD.
It was in front of the fuel tank up to 2004. On Later models it was placed inside the tank. I know, that sucks!
Try resetting the computer first, you do this by disconnecting the battery for 5 min and then reconnecting it. You may want to check the fuse for the 4 wheel drive first.
On the 4.7l v8 it is in the rear of the oil filler housing.
If the transfer case encoder switch control fails, the service 4wd will come on and the vehicle will not switch to 4wd when selected. This is located on left side of the transfer case, and if memory serves frommy GM days is not an expensive fix (Including parts = less than $200) at the dealer, but should be done there.
In the rectangular fusebox under the hood is a fuse maked "Ignition Start" (fuse #8)It is a green 40 amp fuse. When removed the accessories will still work when the key is on, but the starter will not operate.
