1998 Chevy Lumina 3.1L ECM Box Location
I found it on my 1998 Chevy Lumina 3.1 Liter. Car: It is on the right side (Passenger side) of the engine compartment in front the overflow reservoir container and behind Radiator Cap.
It is also under small fuse box.
The ECM is in small black plastic box (about 1.5 Gallons).
You remove the engine right bracket (3 -12 mm bolts) to get to this box then remove two clips on the black box cover... the ECM has two plugged in multi conductor cables. Using nut driver 9/32 th inch (7 mm) to take out these cables .
ECU has part # ID 16236757
Where is the ecm located in a 2000 Chevy Malibu
no ECM's in a 1981
On my Chevy lumina it is located right by the gas take on the right side of the car.
Yes. But they use different wire harnesses and ECM's. The 93 has less electronics than the 96 year Lumina's.
There is no such thing on Lumina. However if you're talking about the ECM (electronic control module), then you'll need to remove the coolant reservoir. The ECM is located under it.
The Chevy lumina does not have an inertia switch.
It is part of the vehicles ECM, which can be found under the hood. It is located on the passengers side all the way in the front right corner. There is a black plastic cover over it.
The Electronic Control Module (ECM)/ Powertrain Control Module (PCM) is located inside the passenger compartment under the dashboard behind the relay panel. Remove the lower trim panel under the glovebox for access to the relay panel and the ECM/PCM.
I think the module is in the distributor with two phillips screws
The ECM on a 1992 S10 Blazer is located below the glove box.
The trunk release for a 1997 Chevy Lumina is located on the driver side floor. An emergency release is also located inside the trunk.
i have a 2001 Chevy lumina and i am wondering if the ECM is going out, sometimes it will die when i am driving but starts right back up, sometimes it will die and not start up after several hours of sitting, then it starts up. Could this be the ECM?
