if you take off the air filter and remove the lower casing of the air filter and look down the gap. you can see the top of the transmission and if there is a cable gone to a black bow that sit. but sometimes it is an electronic sensor it may just have a block of about 8 wires going to it. as there are two types but they are both in the same place
Vehicle speed sensor approx £40 fitted.
Depends on the make/model/year of the vehicle
that year model doesnt need or come with a vehicle speed sensor, however it does have a rear wheel speed sensor
In a Chevrolet Malibu, the speed sensor input is typically located on the transmission. It monitors the vehicle's speed and sends this information to the engine control module (ECM) and the vehicle's speedometer. Depending on the model year, there may be variations in the exact location or type of speed sensor used. Always consult the specific service manual for detailed information on your vehicle's configuration.
The 1993 model year typically uses an electronic speed sensor rather than a mechanical speedo cable. This electronic speed sensor is responsible for sending speed information to the vehicle's computer and the speedometer. However, the exact setup can vary depending on the specific model and its features, so it's always best to consult the vehicle’s service manual for precise details.
The lambda sensor, also known as the oxygen sensor, on a Ford Mondeo is typically located in the exhaust system. There are usually two sensors: one positioned before the catalytic converter (upstream) and another after it (downstream). To find the exact location, it’s best to refer to the vehicle's service manual, as the placement may vary slightly depending on the engine type and model year.
which year model, what transmission do you have, and which speed sensor are we talking about?
Not enough info to answer. Please ask a new question with the year, make, model, engine size of the vehicle.
at least on 1,6 l model it is 180 km or 108 mph
On a 1995 Chevrolet Vandura, the speed sensor is typically located on the transmission. It is usually found on the side of the transmission case, near the output shaft. The sensor monitors the vehicle's speed and sends this information to the engine control module (ECM) or the speedometer. If you're having trouble locating it, consulting the vehicle's service manual can provide specific details for your model.
The speedometer signal comes from the rear axle senor on a 1998 and later ram. I can't dispute the above statement....... On vans and trucks with rear- wheel a.b.s.brakes, the a.b.s. sensor is on the rear axle differential, not to be confused with the transmission speed sensor which is on the trans.....On some later model vehicles the manufacturers started using the a.b.s. module to measure vehicle speed, so the trans. speed sensor or vehicle speed sensors may be absent on those later model vehicles.
On a 1992 GMC Savanna, the vehicle speed sensor (VSS) is typically located on the transmission. It is often mounted on the tailshaft of the transmission, where it detects the rotation of the output shaft to measure speed. You may need to consult the vehicle's service manual for the exact location and wiring details, as it can vary slightly depending on the specific model and transmission type.
