If it is a 2-wheel drive then it is on the transmission tail shaft housing. If it is a 4-wheel drive then it is on the transfur case.
where is the abs wheel sensor on a 2004 chev calavier thanks
You could, but the ABS light will stay on.
can i see a diagram of the location of the abs sensor on 1989 F-150?
Answer Yes, they are totally different. The speedometer signal comes from the rear axle abs sensor.
It is on top of the rear axle
Engine coolant temp sensor, Engine oil pressure sensor, Crank sensor, Cam sensor, Bank 1 O2 sensor, Bank 2 O2 sensor (V-6), Post catalytic converter O2 sensor, EVAP (fuel system) pressure sensor, Fuel level sensor, VSS (Vehicle Speed) sensor, ABS wheel speed sensors, to name a few,
It is just a sensor. My car, however is not a 1992 Diamante, but I own a 1998 Camaro and it is nothing but a sensor. It is nothing to worry about.

Each wheel on a car has it's own sensor, pickup truck/solid rear axle suvs usually have 1 rear abs sensor located in the differential. Abs sensors are located in the hub assembly.
To test an abs sensor for a Lexus ES you will need to use a multimeter. The multimeter will determine if the abs sensor works or not.
The speedometer signal comes from the abs system via the rear axle speed sensor. The speedometer signal comes from the abs system via the rear axle speed sensor.
Depends on the year of the truck. the best way is to get a scan tool or take it to someone who has one. If your abs light is on and the truck has hydraulic lines that run along with the ABS harness then it has probably rubbed a hole in the harness. the harness would need to be repaired. A good scan tool will pin-point a sensor that isn't working. Check for rust on the exciter ring, if its rusty then theres a good chance its the exciter ring and not the sensor.
