The 2001 ford Mustang uses a Constant Control Relay Module. This module is a sealed unit and contains the AC relay.
The AC relay on my 94 Ranger is located in the fuse box under the hood. This fuse box is on the driver's side and it approximately 7in long by 3in wide. To open it, push on tab located closest to the fender and pull up top cover up. This should open the fuse box and expose 3 relays. My AC relay located at the end of the fuse box away from the fender.

The AC relay in a Ford Escort controls the operation of the air conditioning system by supplying power to the AC compressor when the system is activated. When the AC is turned on, the relay closes, allowing electrical current to flow to the compressor, enabling it to compress the refrigerant and circulate it through the AC system. If the relay fails, the AC system may not function properly, leading to issues such as lack of cooling.
