It depends on what AC system is in your car ,, some had the Compressor "swing away " (like the usual)......some had a lock nut and Vernier type adjust ment..some you adjust by moving the idler pulley....... some are adjusted with the power steer pump (if they share a belt).... the least obvious had shims in the crank pulley a la VW's.
There is no steering pump as the Z4 uses electrically-assisted steering.
They're the same thing. Technically, "power-assisted steering" is more correct, since the car is helping you turn the steering wheel, and not doing it all for you.
Power assisted steering.
Steering is "way too stiff" where is adjustment located and how do I proceed. Thanks...Ron
Could be worn ball joints, worn steering linkages, worn/out of adjustment steering box and or worn/out of adjustment wheel bearings.
u cannot , it has no power steering pump, electric steering assisted
Nothing really. They both mean the same.
There will need to be an alignment done on the vehicle to straighten the steering wheel properly. The adjustment to make it straight is called a "toe Adjustment". If it pulls while driving causing the steering wheel not to be straight it will need a Caster or Camber adjustment or all of these may need adjustmnet.
Yes, there is an adjustment for the steering gear box on a 1998 Chevy truck. To adjust the play, locate the adjustment screw on the top of the steering gear box, which is typically covered by a locknut. Loosen the locknut, then turn the adjustment screw clockwise to reduce play or counterclockwise to increase it, making small adjustments while checking for proper steering feel. After achieving the desired tension, retighten the locknut to secure the adjustment.
there is not one
There is no adjustment.
Your vehicle is.. off does not have electrically assisted steering is broken
