The motor is located under the glove compartment. There is a housing next to the floor light with 4 screws. Remove the housing and the resistor should be a gray plastic with two screws holding it in. you have to go directly to the jeep dealer for a new one
On my 1994 Cherokee, it is located under the dash on the passenger side. It will be on the air box by the air exchanger, held on by 2 screws. Simple replacement. Bought one off eBay for $14. All speeds are working now.
