Right behind the glove box. First you have to remove the glove box which is easy. Open it half way and pull up. It's a bit tough, but it will eventually pop out. Once that is removed, you will see a vertical cover on the box that is behind where the glovebox was. remove that cover and you will see your cabin air filter.
The Aveo dose not have one. It uses a screen in the gas tank to filter the fuel.
Manual transmissions usually don't --- Automatic transmissions almost always do.
To replace the cabin air filter in a 2010 Chevy Aveo LT, first, locate the filter compartment, which is typically behind the glove box. Open the glove box and either remove it or detach the stops to allow it to fully drop down. Then, remove the old filter by sliding it out, and install the new filter in the same orientation. Finally, reassemble the glove box and ensure everything is secured.
More than likely, your cabin air filter has a leaf stuck in it or is really dirty and needs to be replaced.
Near the right rear wheel. Undercarriage area. Look for a cylinder-type object.
