the clock spring is located in the movement directly behind the key that you wind the spring with. some keys that fit an arbor have a square hole in them that fits on a square shaft on the front of the clock. some clocks have a key on the back that screws into a threaded hole and you turn it clockwise to wind up the spring. hope that answers your question. regards bob
